Hemotique is a blood donation coordination platform. We help voluntary donors, patients, hospitals, blood banks, and community members connect around blood needs, availability, events, and related information. We are not a hospital, blood bank operator, or emergency medical service.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account and profile information — name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form), gender, date of birth or age where applicable, blood type, location (country, region/state, city), address details you choose to provide, account category (such as donor, patient, volunteer, hospital, or blood bank), and profile preferences.
• Donation request information — patient or request details, hospital name and address, blood type needed, urgency, contact preferences, and related notes submitted by registered users.
• Communications — messages sent through contact forms, emergency assist sessions, donation request responses, testimonials, issue reports, and support correspondence.
• Health screening answers — responses you provide in optional donor health screening flows on the Website or app. These are used to guide eligibility messaging within our platform and are not a medical diagnosis.
• Organization billing information — for hospital and blood bank accounts, subscription plan selections, payment method choice, transaction references, and uploaded payment receipts submitted for manual review. Card payments processed through Stripe are handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
• Marketing preferences — whether you opt in or out of promotional emails and related timestamps.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you browse the Website or use connected app features, we may automatically collect:

• Usage and analytics data — pages or screens viewed, session identifiers, approximate session duration, device type (web or mobile), referral source or campaign tags (UTM parameters), and general traffic channel classification (such as direct, organic search, or social).
• Technical data — IP address, browser or app user agent, and general geographic information derived from IP (such as country).

1.3 Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from payment processors (for example Stripe, eSewa, or Khalti), email delivery providers, and authentication or hosting services strictly to operate the Services.

• Send marketing announcements only to users who have opted in, with unsubscribe options;
• Measure website and app usage, improve performance, and detect abuse;

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:

• With other users, as you direct — for example, when you post a donation request or respond to one, certain profile or contact details may be visible according to your settings and the feature you use.
• With service providers — hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, and security vendors that help us run Hemotique, under confidentiality obligations.
• With advertising partners — when ads are shown, partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies as described in their policies.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the platform.
• Business transfers — if ownership or structure of Hemotique changes, data may transfer as part of that transaction with appropriate notice where required.

4. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:

• Account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward;
• Visitor analytics logs for a limited retention period (typically up to 90 days unless configured otherwise);
